A mixed day

Bit wet this morning so did a spot of web surfing and then dreaded shopping.

By noon it had at least stopped raining so set off around some local trails, ended up going through Kelburn and down Fairlie glen.
The glen is choked with brambles, nettles and braken.
It's a popular footpath so you'd think someone from Fairlie would shake up the local council.

Returned over Goldenberry and saw some cute little piglets, there were five folk on Goldenberry, very unusual to see anyone up there at any time.

Wind assist along the beach was great back home by 3.45, its still dry out there if it stays that way I may have to cut a hedge.

Picture above is Glentane hillside from my web site photo trail.

That first photo is a cracker, where was it taken.

Also been meaning to ask, what kind of MTB do you ride

The photo is on the side of my scary route along Glentane hill about three mile from home, overlooking Glenburn reserviour and Great Cumbrae.

I used to ride a Specialised rockhopper, now no more, now on a ZX7000 Trek softail, OK till it gets really rough. Also got a Marin Quake 5 full suspension but don't like it, it's twitchy as hell and ruins my confidence unless its really rough.

I used to have a Specialized Rockhopper as well, it was my first serious MTB, then i upgraded to the Speciliazed Epic, brillinat bike, but for one flaw, the front end can be very twitchy. I have had some very hairy moments when the handlebars have suddenly swung 45 degrees after boucing on a root. But over all, still the best MTB i have riden
